My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book because for me it’s getting back to my first favourite genre and I just really enjoyed it.
We follow a group of shareholders who go on a skiing retreat to help them make a decision on which way to take the company. When one of the owners doesn’t come back from skiing with the rest of the group and an avalanche hits things start going really wrong. One by one the group starts dying from unusual circumstances.
One of the things I really enjoyed was the dual perspectives from Erin, one of the Chalet hosts and Liz, one of the minor shareholders. I really enjoyed watching things unfold and getting to see the events from both women’s points of view.
What I liked was that you could see that both Erin and Liz were hiding something and they were dealing with dark things from their pasts, and me being nosy really couldn’t wait to find out what they were hiding.
I also enjoyed that I couldn’t quite figure out who the murderer was, I’m going to boast now, but I did realise what was going on before the main characters but it still did take me some time and it honestly wasn’t that much before the main characters realised. I loved this because sometimes in books I figure it out too easily.
This book is really fast-paced and I found it really hard to put it down.
One thing I didn’t like was I found it hard to picture the characters, I also noticed the lack of diversity in the book, which for me was a little disappointing.
