My Thoughts:
This book was amazing and I really hope there is another one!
In this book, we follow Amari as she is trying to find her missing brother (Quinton) and then she receives a delivery from her brother in the delivery there is an invitation to a summer school for magical creatures and people.
I really loved this book it was magical and twisty. I honestly thought I knew where it was going but I was so wrong!
I really felt for Amari that she didn’t fit in in her old school and she has a hard time fitting in into the summer school. But it was so nice to watch her grow and develop and that she had people on her side! There is so much I want to say about this book but I definitely don’t want to ruin it for people who might read it!
I loved watching Amari stand up to her bullies and let them know that she belongs and helping people understand who and what Amari is. What I really loved was her coming out of her brothers’ shadow. Quinton was the golden boy of her school and of the camp so I loved watching Amari come into her own and prove that it’s for one she is her own person and two that she is great by herself!
One of my favourite characters was Elsie because she is also an outcast. She knows what she is but she hasn’t had the opportunity to turn yet, but when she does it’s amazing! She stands up for Amari and helps her where she can.
