My Thoughts:
I think for the first time ever I have prefered the television adaptation of a book. I’m definitely not saying that this is a bad book! Not at all. I just feel like there was a lot more suspense and sitting on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what was going to happen while I was watching it.
The problem I found with Killing Eve Codename Villanelle is that it would literally jump 6 weeks without any interlude. It didn’t flow as nicely as I would have liked, but perhaps that is Luke Jennings writing style, to me though it felt a little rushed I would have liked it to have been a bit longer and to have had a bit more detail in it.
I also found it a bit odd that there are 217 pages but only 4 chapters.
Each chapter is split between both Eve and Villanelle which for me took some getting used to.
It’s weird to say but I really enjoyed how different the book is from the series. Because I have watch Killing Eve on BBC I thought I knew what was going to happen but I was so very wrong!
Ok I don’t want to give too much away because I don’t want to spoil the series or the book for anyone but all I can say is they are both very good.
I feel like Eve and Nikko’s relationship was touched upon and I could feel a slight discord but for me it just wasn’t enough. The relationships were all touched upon but I feel like a little more could have been delved into.

I’ve heard of this show! (*gasp* I actually recognized something!) I didn’t know it was a book, but in a way it’s satisfying to know that the TV adaptation is better. I know it’s happened before, though it seems to be the exception to the rule. Good to know, thanks for sharing!

This is so interesting! After watching Killing Eve on BBC iPlayer I found out that it was based on a book, I’d had no idea. I’m going to get my hands on a copy soon to read it as part of my 2019 reading challenge, but I had reservations because I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the tv show! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it’s given me a rough idea of what to expect. xx

I didn’t know this was a book. The slow is kind of slow paced but its good. Maybe one day I will read the book
