My Thoughts:

I was so intrigued by the blurb of this that I had to pick it up and immediately start reading it! I was on holiday at the time and there’s aways time in the airport to pick up and extra holiday book, am I right?!

So I picked this up and finished it within a couple of days. It was so intense and there were so many secrets, I’m going to be honest, I’m a a bit nosy, so I needed to know what those secrets were!

When I found out I was shocked, there is something so disturbing about this book but I was pulled in and couldn’t get away from it.

The secrets of the family start with Grandad Roanoke and the web of secrets and deceipt spread through to his beautiful daughters and granddaughters.

When Lane goes back to her family home, she will finally discover what really goes on behind closed doors but can she save herself and her sister at the same time as trying to escape from her past?

This book reminds me a little of Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn because of how dark they both are, and they both involve family secrets and heavy burdens.

Please, please, please read this book, It’s intense, disturbing and you wont be able to stop reading.
